From the beginning...

Cartersville Area Writers Group

Cartersville Area Writers Group was initially formed as a sister group to Calhoun Area Writers. Karli Land, the founder of both groups and President of Calhoun, found an interest within the Bartow County community and a president for the group in Calhoun's own VP, Mandy Cantrell. In August of 2022, Cartersville Area Writers was formed! Our name was later altered to include "Group" with the exciting news of our non-profit status. We look forward to the opportunities that status will bring to our rapidly growing group!

Annual Membership

Cartersville Area Writers Group meets the third Tuesday of every month from 6-7:30 at   

Georgia Highlands College Cartersville Campus

5441 Highway 20, NE Cartersville, GA 30121

Except for special occasions, monthly meetings are FREE for visitors! We offer guest speakers and small workshops while focusing on upcoming events and opportunities for the group.
